Are you looking for support with chronic pain, or you know someone who would benefit? Our Burngreave and Firvale chronic pain groups run every week - no need to book or call beforehand, just turn up for support, information and advice! Have a read to see what the groups got up to in April:
Tuesdays: (1pm – 2pm every Tuesday at Firvale Community Hub)

At our Tuesday group we had massages from Rochelle, a visit from local GP Kate Bellingham, and a session all about Menopause from SOAR's Wellbeing Coach, Julie.
Wednesdays: (11am-12pm every Wednesday at Cornerstone Gym)

April has seen the Men’s Group move the whole of the session to the Cornerstone Gym as the men have enjoyed the equipment there so much!
From exercising with resistance bands, to using the stationary bikes, to improving their balance on the Bosu balance trainer, the men have spoken of their enjoyment in getting their bodies moving with the help of Nuffield's Personal Trainer, Stefan.
Thursdays: (11am – 12:30pm every week at Burngreave Vestry Hall)

This month was a busy month for our women’s group who had Singing for Lung Health & Wellbeing Practitioner, Helen help us improve our breathing and singing with lots of different instruments; lots of exercises with Louise our Personal Trainer; and some demonstrations on how to sleep better from Tash.
Next month we will have a visit from a local GP to give us some of her top tips on how to live well with chronic pain.
What's Next:
Men and Women’s Group (Slovak Interpreters) Tuesdays, Firvale Community Hub 1pm – 2pm
Men’s Group (Arabic Interpreter) Wednesdays, Cornerstone Gym on Spital Hill 11am – 12pm

We have different professionals visit the groups to give us guidance as well as treatments when available such as massage.
No need to contact us, just turn up as we currently have the space at all the groups for some additional group attendees.
All the best,
An invigorated SOAR Wellbeing Coach
