Are you looking for support with chronic, persistent or long-term pain, or do you know someone who would benefit? We run weekly groups in Burngreave, Firvale, and Firth Park. Anyone living with chronic pain that would like to learn how to better manage in their day-to-day life as well as socialise and exercise are welcome to join any of our groups.
No need to contact us, just turn up!
Tuesdays
Men and Women 1pm – 2pm every Tuesday at Firvale Community Hub
This month we continued to use the massage balls and resistance bands to help stretch and strengthen our bodies whilst talking about our pain and ways to manage it including discussing nutrition and hydration, physiotherapy exercises, and we started planning some walks for the future!

Wednesdays
Men and Women 1pm – 2:30pm every Wednesday at Firth Park Hall (behind Firth Park Methodist Church)
We have had a busy month walking in Firth Park, creating different ornaments using Willow picked from SOAR’s own head office, planting seeds, and talking about better movement, sleep, and stress management.
There were exercises for everyone in chairs, and standing, using resistance bands and bodyweight.

Thursdays
Women only 11am – 12:30pm every week at Burngreave Vestry Hall
We had a fantastic afternoon out in Ellesmere Park where the group got active walking, litter picking, using exercise equipment, planting new seeds, and spotting different types of wildlife.
Helen got everyone breathing and singing to help our lung health and mental health.
And of course, we continued using the massage balls and exercising with the resistance bands!
