Are you looking for support with chronic, persistent or long-term pain, or do you know someone who would benefit? We run weekly groups in Burngreave, Firvale, and Firth Park. Anyone living with chronic pain that would like to learn how to better manage in their day-to-day life as well as socialise and exercise are welcome to join any of our groups.
No need to contact us, just turn up!
Tuesdays
1pm – 2pm every Tuesday at Firvale Community Hub
November involved continuing to talk about our pain and ways to manage it whilst using the massage balls and using resistance bands to help stretch and strengthen our bodies.
We also had a visit from the great Nurse Bernie and a team of Pharmacists who educated us on managing migraines and lots of helpful information regarding thyroid issues.

Wednesdays
1pm – 2pm every Wednesday at Firth Park Hub, behind Firth Park Methodist Church
November saw our new group at The Hub behind Firth Park Methodist Church continue with support from Nuffield’s Personal Trainer Stefan, as well as Down2U Physio Adam!
We spoke about living with chronic pain, the importance of movement and very importantly mindset. Stefan led exercises for everyone in chairs and standing using resistance bands and bodyweight.

Thursdays
11am – 12:30pm every week at Burngreave Vestry Hall
November involved continuing to talk about our pain and ways to manage it whilst using the massage balls and using resistance bands to help stretch and strengthen our bodies.
We were very lucky to have Helen lead a session on breathing exercises and singing for lung health, Nurse Bernie and a team of Pharmacists who educated us on managing migraines and also thyroid issues, and Mir Jansen from the NHS leading an Art Therapy exercise that involved creating our own templates and painting those onto bags to take home.

No need to book, just turn up! Join us this December or add the groups to your 2026 list!
