Here at SOAR, we are constantly evolving and changing in the pursuit of excellence. To help achieve this, our recruitment processes are about getting the right people, to fit the right posts. Here is an introduction to the latest members of our Team.
Terezia Rostas - Wellbeing Coach
Terezia joins our Health Team as a Wellbeing Coach, specialising in Chronic Pain. She will be working with Roma individuals to help them become more active physically, and offer advice & guidance on wellbeing, food and diet.
"I will also be delivering dancing/exercise sessions with Roma Community Champions for Roma individuals. We will try a variety of spots, exercises, dances and ways of being active outdoors and indoors.
I am excited about being part of the SOAR team and being able to learn so much about health & wellbeing, and share my learning and experience further with our communities. I am excited and feel privileged to work with our communities to improve lifestyles and build healthier & stronger communities!
Outside of work, I love to volunteer for our communities and use arts & dance to bring a smile to people's faces. I get my energy from these projects and it brings me joy feeling part of the Sheffield family and community."
Sarah Wilson - Social Prescribing Link Worker
Sarah joins the team as the Social Prescribing Link Worker for the Network North Primary Care Network (Grenoside, Ecclesfield, Chapeltown, High Green, Foxhill GP Surgeries).
"I am excited to join the team at SOAR as the new Social Prescribing Link Worker for Network North. I will be triaging & assessing individuals who are referred to me by the GPs within Network North, as well as via self-referrals and referrals from other NHS/community based services. I’m looking forward to supporting individuals in connecting with the specialist services available to improve their health and wellbeing.
I’m looking forward to hearing ‘what matters to them’ and keeping a blank page approach, allowing the client to lead the conversation and ask for what they need. I’m really looking forward to being part of the team at Network North – working collaboratively to address clients needs and continuing to get to know everyone at SOAR!
In my spare time I enjoy walking with my two Labradors, spending time at home in Penistone with my family including my 3 children (most of the time!), weekends away at the coast and holidays – particularly in Italy."
Kevin Jarvis - Employment Coach
Kevin joins the Employment Team, working with 18-24 year olds to help them to find sustainable employment.
"I'm excited about working with the community I've grown up in and getting stuck into making a positive difference to it!
Outside of work you will find me at one of the local music venues around Sheffield."
Eve Steele - Employment Coach
Eve has also joined the Employment Team, and will be delivering 1-1 employment advice and support to anyone over the age of 18 who is unemployed in Sheffield.
"My role involves a lot of hands-on support, with the aim of improving confidence and motivation in clients and allowing them to pursue their goals and overcome the barriers they face into work.
I’m really excited to be working with people to help them get into work and education they really care about & enjoy, and help them realise goals they might not even realise they had!
Outside of work I’m an avid horror fan, and am part of a student society dedicated to celebrating all things spook!"
