Burngreave Library Volunteers - Eunice & Mozhdeh

Burngreave Library has been a volunteer-led library for over 6 years and we love hearing from our volunteers. Hear from Eunice and Mozhdeh on what volunteering at the library has meant for them:

Eunice:

"It is nice working with you and volunteering in the library. It is a great opportunity for me and I'm really glad I did. Volunteering in the library has really helped me to improve on my ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

The opportunity to meet new people and make new friends was also top on my exciting moments at the library! I also improve on my sorting skills which was really good for me. In terms of location, the computer area is the most exciting to me. Particularly using the PC to checkout and discharge books has really helped in improving my computer skills.

I enjoyed every moment I spent in the library. l have learnt a lot by gaining new skills and knowledge. But most importantly helping my daughter to improve on her reading ability.

So much things to write about. But I am still learning and also enjoying my stay."

Mozhdeh:

"I have volunteered at Burngreave Library since 3 months ago. I am very pleased to work with the team. It helps me to improve my English and learn about working in the library.

The staff are really friendly and patient. They answer all my questions patiently. I love the library atmosphere.

I hope I can learn everything that I need."
